ALFRED, N.Y. – Alfred State College and John G. Ullman & Associates (JGUA) are excited to announce their partnership for a two-part financial education series in 2025. The virtually-based series will be led by JGUA Financial Advisors, many of whom are Alfred State alumni.
“We know you’ve worked hard to build what you have, so it’s only natural that you want to establish and nurture a legacy that will last for years or even decades, and this partnership with JGUA will do just that,” said Jason Sciotti, Director of Development and Planned Giving Specialist with Alfred State College. “This allows us to help educate our alumni, faculty, staff, friends and campus community on some very impactful life strategies while helping to secure the organization’s long-term financial sustainability and impact through legacy giving.”
The series will kick off on Thursday, February 27th at 11 a.m. as Advisor and Charlotte Branch Manager Jakob Brost, CFP®, M.S. (Alfred State Class of 2021) and Associate Advisor Nathan VanBrunt, MBA team up to present on Estate & Legacy Planning.
Following the Estate Planning session in February, the series will continue on Tuesday, September 9th at 11 a.m. as Senior Advisor Amanda Herrick-Smith, CFP® (Alfred State Class of 2006) and Associate Advisor Alex Boychuck (Alfred State Class of 2024) present on Charitable Giving.
