What Does Inheritance Really Mean?

This episode, hosted by Andrew Baron, CFP®, EA, featuring Lizzy DiPietrantonio, J.D. touches on several points surrounding inheritance, both for those that leave money, and those who recieve it. This includes taxes, interesting stories, and how this can relate to you.

Firstly, Lizzy discusses what you should do if you recieve an unexpected inheritance. Most would react by wanting to pay off debt, but listen closely as Lizzy gives other ideas that may be worthwhile.

The next talking point is taxes. There are two types that are discussed; federal estate tax and state inheritance tax, which effects those within 6 different U.S. states – listen to learn the difference and what to look for.

Lastly, there are three fun stories that are discussed: a woman who left her dog $12 Million dollars, a man who left his local waitress $500,000, and a man who randomly picked 13 people to leave his estate to. Listen till the end to find out the exciting conclusions to these bizarre stories.
