CHARLOTTE, N.C. – John G. Ullman & Associates, Inc. (JGUA) is pleased to announce the promotion of Jakob Brost, M.S., to Branch Manager of the firm’s Charlotte office. In addition to his new leadership role, Jakob has also been promoted to Advisor, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Jakob joined JGUA in early 2023 as an Associate Advisor after earning a Master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Financial Planning from Alfred State College. During his time with the firm, Jakob played a key role in the successful launch of the Charlotte branch, which celebrates its first anniversary this October.
In addition to his academic achievements, Jakob has passed the Series 65 – Uniform Investment Advisor Certification and is nearing the completion of his Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation.
Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, Jakob stated:
“It’s an incredible honor to lead the JGUA Charlotte branch. I’m passionate about the firm’s client-first service model and excited to expand our presence in the Charlotte area. As we enter our second full year of operations, I’m eager to take on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”
As Branch Manager, Jakob will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Charlotte office while continuing to serve clients in his role as an Advisor.
