John G. Ullman & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Marketing Associate II to join our Firm. This is an essential position in our company. Working from the Horseheads, NY Office, the Marketing Associate is a position that will be instrumental in designing, developing, executing and managing value-added content used to raise awareness of the JGUA brand among a highly targeted audience. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Communication and internal subject matter experts to develop relevant pieces of content, meeting the needs of both key stakeholders and the JGUA target audience. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, flexibility, and organization.
Job Duties:
- Plan and execute communications, including newsletters, invitations, social media, website, email and Public Relations.
- Assist in management of email and social media campaigns, including A/B testing, budget-tracking and engagement analysis.
- Manage drafting and editing of short and long-form content, such as newsletters, email campaigns, presentations and blog posts.
- Update marketing collateral, including factsheets, presentations, brochures and event invitations.
- Assist in drafting marketing materials including one pagers, brochures and presentations.
- Maintain project schedules and Marketing calendar in a deadline-driven environment.
- Plan and execute events with others from start to finish and help run the events.
- Provide administrative support to the Marketing Team, Directors and Senior Management as needed.
- Website management, social media marketing, content creation, e-mail marketing campaigns, conference preparation, PR strategy, & sales support.
- Assist in planning and execution of email marketings strategies to current and prospective clients.
- Support applications, including: customer master data management, campaign management, and Sales Department systems.
- Assist in leading and tracking the firm’s community action and volunteer initiatives in all current markets.
- Edit audio/visual files for podcasts, webinars, video clips, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Previous experience in a marketing/communications role.
- Experience developing content; i.e. newsletters, websites, articles, and graphics.
- Experience working with the Adobe Suite and Canva Pro – video editing experience is a plus.
- Experience managing social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple requests within tight deadlines.
- Successful track record in managing projects.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently, and/or work as a member of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and possess the ability to communicate will all members of the staff, as well as with clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience. May include internships.
- Previous experience in a marketing/communications role.
- Experience in the areas of event promotion and management, social media management.

Projected Hiring Range:
Hourly Rate $22.00 – $28.84 per hour
